Dogs, bring your humans!  Join the American Institute of Architect, Jacksonville for Barkitecture '08 and enjoy a live auction of designer dog houses and kiddy kondo's at this years 9th Annual Fur Ball.  Click here for some overview information and examples.

Many of Jacksonville's best architects, builders, and designers have been challenged to create extraordinary dog houses and kitty kondo's of varied designs to be auctioned off to benefit the Jacksonville Humane Society.  100% of all proceeds from this year's auction will directly benefit programs and services of the Jacksonville Humane Society.  The Jacksonville Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals.  Their mission is to find loving homes for all animals and to provide education and counseling to foster responsible pet-people relationships resulting in the humane treatment of animals.  As of October 1, 2005, the Jacksonville Humane Society is a no-kill, limited admission organization.

Event Info

Awards in several categories will be awarded for distinguished doghouse/kondo designs.  Several participating designers will also be on hand to discuss their creations.  Winning doghouses will be on display at a location to be determined.

Come celebrate the incredible architecture and design talent in jacksonville and help raise funds for our furry friends at the Jacksonville Humane Society.
